Impatient baby screaming for bottle

I have a gorgeous 13 week old baby who feeds beautifully. The only problem is she screams bloody murder when it’s time for a feed, she’s barely going 3 hours between feeds and screams as if she’s not been fed in days. She’s formula fed and we’re using colief drops as she was mega colicky and they seem to be helping. As soon as the bottle comes she’s happy and will often fall asleep before finishing the full 6oz, so it’s not a case or simply giving her more milk. Has anyone else experienced this? DD1 had horrendous reflux for a year so feeding was a completely different (traumatic) experience altogether.

@Ducksurprise

That amount of screaming uses a lot of energy and will shorten the time between feeds, plus male her fall asleep before she is full. Preempt the feeding so no screaming, happier for everyone.
Stupid question but when they fall asleep feeding how do you wind them? Or just let them sleep?

If she's nodding off on the bottle, I'd try her with a dummy. Especially if she's been colicky. It could be silent reflux. My DS1 did this. He'd scream the place down every two hours for a feed and nod off after an ounce. We got him a dummy and it helped so much.

@Queenie6655 I’ll still try and wind but if she’s in a deep sleep I’ll just put her down it doesn’t seem to bother her too much.

@Eatsleepgamerepeat she’s not a massive fan of the dummy, it helps her nod off for a nap but she spits it out a lot - I think she gets annoyed that no milk comes out of it 😂

Oh yes we have the perfect prep machine so I’m definitely not “making her wait so long”. Christ, some of the replies on this thread! I don’t know why I’m surprised though, I’ve used Mumsnet for ages…
I didn't say you were making her wait so long. I said the tommee tippee was a game changer for us because it takes minutes. I found it incredibly stressful to be desperately trying to cool down milk with a baby beside herself screaming. I didn't know about the tommee tippee until I stumbled across it in Boots. I was literally following the instructions of the tin - boiling the kettle, timing it for 30 minutes, then cooling the bottle further under a tap. So I thought it was a genuinely helpful tip.

Hunger signals can be helpful but I also found that my baby went from hunger signal to crying extremely quickly. Again, reason why the prep machine has been an ear-saver.

That's all I meant by my post.

Larger teat size so drinks more before falling asleep?
