Relux - DS has just been prescribed Ranitadine

My ds is 18 weeks old and has just been prescribed ranitadine for his reflux - has anyone else's lo had this and did it work for them? I was really hoping that he would grow out of it without having to go on to medication. Also i'm bf him so do you think it is ok to have the odd glass of wine over Xmas if he is having this medicine or not?

it worked wonders for my dd. she started on it at about 12 weeks. she's still on it at 16 months though! and things went down hill fast last time I tried to stop it.

I got lots of good advice about coping with reflux on here. might be worth trawling the archives if you have time.

my son is on ranitadine and dopamine (sp?) I have found that it does work, but as he has gained weight the dose has to be adjusted each time, or it stops working.

Did it also help stop your lo's vomiting?
