Is there a difference between a breastfeeding counsellor and a lactation consultant? And how on earth can I go about it?

I think to be Lactation consultant you need previous professional experience with new mothers.
But worth getting in touch with NCT/ABM/LLL etc to see what courses and quals are available.

I am shortly going to look into this myself. Once this child disengages from the bosom long enough to let me outta the damned house LOL
