Will my boobs ever be the same again?

One breast has always been (slightly noticeably) larger than the other. Just my luck that DD prefers to feed from the bigger one so now I am SUPER lopsided. I'm not expecting the same old perkiness etc but will they go back to their usual sizes once I'm done BFing? If so, how long after BFing? And is there anything I can do (other than surgery) that might make them even slightly less ... lifeless Grin

TIA!

Hiya - mine too! I always had one bigger than the other, not noticeable in bras but noticeable when nude by about 25%.
I am currently bf my second baby and I call the bigger of the two my ‘workhorse boob’ as it makes the most milk and is therefore is still larger.

Last time my boobs pretty much went back exactly the same but with less perk like you said and the skin slightly less toned (only noticeable to me - nothing huge).

60% (or more) of the time I start my feed on the ‘weaker’ boob to give it a chance to drain fully and refill while my baby is initially really hungry to help aid an even supply in both as he doesn’t always fully drain the second.

But I’d like to say as the biggest take home message try not to fixate- your body is nourishing your beautiful baby. He/she couldn’t give a damn. You are perfect to him/her.

There isn’t much more you can do to ‘even out right now’ and not that you’ve suggested actually doing it but surgery is an absolutely huge decision with it’s own massive risks.
I’m a nurse who used to work in breast theatres. Most women have one bigger than the other/ unusual shaping. A good fitting bra is a wonderful thing!

Why not take your boobs (and baby) out for a date and go buy some really beautiful bfing bras to feel a bit more ‘yourself’ and stop on the way for a lovely lunch to celebrate your amazing body and what it is achieving?

Take care and feel proud of your amazing and clever body Smile

It took me about a year and a half after the last feed to return to normal. I was pleased with my new smaller breasts at the end of feeding (the final 6 months were just small once/twice a day little comfort feeds so v little milk and I'd all but shrivelled up!). But my body had other ideas and they gradually crept back to basically a pre-pregnancy size and shape with a bit of extra sag.

Mine have been ruined, sorry. Saggy, wrinkly elephant skin ….

Mine went back after baby one, I had one much bigger workhorse boob too and have now feeding toddler number 2. I can't say they were much changed after baby one, apart from my nipples seem twice as big as before. They went back in about 2 months. No sagging or loose skin, my stomachs is like an old man though, so you can't have everything. This time to sag might get. Stopping feeding soon !

No…. Sorry Cake

Yes they can do. Basically boobs are mostly fat unless you're feeding. The fat distribution changes as the milk ducts are being used but once they're not any more the fat can come back.

It took mine a while, a year or so? It took the most time for the bit at the top to plump out again.

When I lost weight a couple of years ago, the fat went again and they looked a bit crap, but meh I'm healthier for it.

I am older now but after breastfeeding and pregnancy I can't say I noticed much difference.

Mine aren’t. Same size ish, but they’ve lost volume and feel more empty/less dense than they did before. The density is now at the bottom so they’re not quite as perky although I wouldn’t say they’re saggy.
