Thats is basically, DH and I are going to see that Enchanted film, and mum is babysitting DD for a couple of hours.

I was going to feed her just before we leave my mums and take a bottle of EBM just in case. How many ounces will I need?

TIA

How old is DD? Do you get much when you express?

I found that DD usually needed about an ounce more than I could express from one full breast at a time. (Babies are more efficient at getting milk than a pump.)

So if I could express 4oz off a breast, then she would need about 5 for a feed.

If you're only going for a couple of hours, I doubt a baby under 6 months would need more than about 6 oz. Considering you'll only be out for a couple of hours; give her a good feed before you go and she might not need anything at all until you get back!

Have a nice time.

That sounds similar to how DD was. She would take a 5oz bottle during the afternoon the few times I left her with my Mum.

I only started expressing yesterday and I've just got about 3 and a half ounces done, I may try to get a bit more in a couple of hours. DD will be 4 weeks old on Tuesday.

I will give her a feed before we go to my mums so I hope that she will be ok, but as you say I'm not out for a long time 2-3 hours at the most.
