...What foods can help boost production? (Please say Galaxy and Aero)

Im finding if I don't eat loads my supply is a bit poor-or is this my imagination?

And how many cals per day is recommended if one is BFing?

Cheers!

Probably your imagination... but I also prefer to overeat just incase DD requires some trace nutrient only found in cadbury's roses, pringles and beer

I think they say you need an extra 500 calories a day compared to your normal for making milk. However, I read once (in a Boots magazine so probably not the most reliable source) that your metabolism adjusts so you probably don't need extra calories. I chose to disregard that information

I believe thinks like fenugreek and oats help production though not sure if it's a bit old wives rather than fact.

i think as a rough giude they say 500 extra calories a day or something, but I can't remember where I read that.
I haven't noticed any difference in my supply regardless of what I eat- but then maybe I just don't pay attention lol

Like your thinking Suzi

Don't know why but last few evenings I really feel empty!

I thought you had to eat 3000 cals a day!!!

meanwhile, porridge for breakfast is good for you on lots of levels...

you will make milk regardless of your calorie intake. Women have bf throughout history during times of famine, war and hardship.
