do you have a family planning clinic in your town?

you can be treated there, too, if you don't want to see your GP.

you are NOT a minger.

superbabyhugger · 12/12/2007 22:32

thanks for replying expat

i wouldn't think so if you've just given birth.

i went in for BC counselling 4 weeks after birth and they didn't examine me.

superbabyhugger · 13/12/2007 21:12

thanks for being so kind to me expat

Hi superbabyhugger,
please do not be embarrased, I am a midwife and peoples bits are just peoples bits, honestly although I know it is at the time though.
That product is not safe for bf look herewww.stiefel.co.uk/corporate/products/product.asp?pID=73&n=Warticon
If you don't want to be examined just say no, no one can force you it is your body after all.
Good luck [hug]

hi happy mum

do you haveany idea what cream i could use,i was hoping to carry on bf even though dd is nearly 6 months

OP posts:
superbabyhugger · 13/12/2007 21:56

tipex

can you explain to me in simple terms

what this means

Pregnancy and lactation: The product is not for use in pregnancy or lactation.
Reproduction toxicity studies in animals have not given evidence of an increased incidence of foetal damage or other deleterious effects on the reproductive process. However, since podophyllotoxin is a mitosis inhibitor, Warticon Cream should not be used during pregnancy or lactation.
It is not known if the substance is excreted into breast milk.
Observations in man indicate that podophyllin, a crude mixture of lignans, can be harmful to pregnancy. Such observations have not been reported in patients treated with podophyllotoxin.

i had no idea what a
mitosis inhibitor is

thankyou sooo much

Mitosis is the cells dividing (if I remember my A level Biology right!) i.e it stops the cells of the baby growing correctly.

Also you should know that Pregnancy hormones can cause a flare up of HPV (Genital warts) and it is very common.

Hi SBH,
sorry I don't know another cream, but am sure a local GUM clinic would be able to give you something that can be used with bf, and I know what you mean about not wanting to give up bf, my lo is 9 months and I am no where near giving up yet
