How to stop milk production? Dostinex?

I´ve decided to give up trying to bf dd, 4 weeks old. She regularly refuses to latch on and I end up with mastitus or blocked ducts and expressing milk to clear this up. I´m also up 2-3 times a night to express just to relieve the discomfort so am spending lots of the day and night expressing. How do I stop my milk production? The doctor has prescribed dostinex. Does anyone know anything about it? I´m worried she has prescribed the wrong dosage - 0.5mg 2 x a day for 2 days. Normally half this much is prescribed.

Also, should I expressing to comfort once I´ve taken the drug? Doctor said this is ok, the midwife from the hospital said no.

I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to start offering advice on this one, but will bump as I'm sure someone more knowledgable than me will be along shortly.

Sorry you're having a tough time.
