What happens at a breastfeeding cafe?

I desperately need help and have found a local cafe that runs on a thurs morning.

Thing is, now I've found it and planned to go, I'm having serious 2nd thoughts.

This is my 3rd baby and she's now 10 months old so is it just for newbies and will I be judged/laughed at? Am I ok going on my own or will I be left in a corner drinking my cuppa? Is there a criteria for who can go as I technically live out of the area even though lo was born there?

TIA

Why do you need help? Anything MN can help with?

Does this help at all?

At mine it's just a bunch of mums chatting and feeding, with a bfc and some peer supporters popping round to offer tea, help and advice if needed.

There's somebody new turning up every week, and babies are all ages.

It's very chilled, really.

Be brave! It may have just the help you need!

Hunker, would you mind awfully taking a look at my thread, in case you have any advice for me?

I've asked MN!

I've gone back to work but struggle expressing more than 3-4 oz a day for her. She won't even then drink that. I need her to drink more as she's under a dietician and they're threatening calcium supplements for her as she drinks so little (but they've only got her "nursery days" to go by as I feed her myself otherwise)

Then, on the other hand, I also need her to stop and drink milk from a bottle as I can't restart my medication while I'm feeding.

She's also milk allergic which doesn't help. I got her 1st tin of formula last week and she won't even open her mouth to it - probably because it smells so disgusting!

I'm really stressed!
