I am a new mum to a 9 day old boy.

I love him dearly but am finding nights hard and lonely. I am not sleeping much more than two hours as it takes be so long to settle him.

I’m also by recovering from c section which is ok is painful out of bed.

I just feel so like I’m failing. I am so tired too which I expect but this tired is unreal

Do you have a partner? Or someone else who can support you?

It's really hard in the beginning but in a couple of weeks it will be a bit easier.

My dh did all of the night time nappy changes, burping and

Posted too soon.

Burping and settling. He would literally just hand the baby to me to feed.

The early days are tough but they do get easier. Sleep deprivation is awful. My DD is 4 now and I can vividly remember the days of her lying in my arms at 2 am wide awake and feeding constantly. You've just grown and given birth to a brand new human being and now you're feeding him - you're amazing

Would you think about expressing so your partner can do the odd feed?
