how to bf using baby bjorn carrier?

The instructions on the baby bjorn claim you can use it to breastfeed your baby. Has anybody done this successfully? If so, how? Do you have to have double-jointed norks or is there a trick I'm missing?

Impossible. My ds was on solids by the time we'd figured how to get him out of the thing easily!

Not possible. Try a ring sling instead (Huggababy etc), you can often get them on ebay or on the for sale boards here...

I have a baby bjorn carrier and love it, but can't for the life of me imagine how you could b/f in it!!

Pannacotta - I'm trying to feed him upright as I think he has reflux - so I'm not sure that'd work in a Huggababy. I'll have a look, though.

You might manage, you can adjust most ring slings - might be worth calling Huggababy, I have found them very helpful.
Another option is a wrap such as Moby/Kari me etc, as you could wrap your baby facing in and up.
Have you trawled the sling sites?
There are also lots of people on here who know all about slings, might be worth posting again with your specific query in the thread title?

Hmmm. I think I'll e-mail the baby bjorn customer service folk, and I'll tell you what they say. Meanwhile, sling websites it is, for me.

I know Pesha managed it, I saw her, but have no idea how, a combination of wearing it very low and very flexible norks I guess

Didn't know they say you could - i just tried anyway. BAsically, was stuck in a foreign airport for a couple of hours, at night.. DS crying, tired and hungry. Me surrounded by family members etc. Just pulled down top, loosened BAby Bjorn a bit so DS was lowered, and he latched on. But it probably depends on your size and whether their mouth would be in line with your nipples..iykwim .. covered us with a scarf and was very discrete.

Have done in since on longish walks in the country.
