Repeated add for SMA in Tescos today

I am not anti bottle feeding at all but I was shocked while shopping in Tescos this morning. I was browsing the toiletries isle (near baby isle) and music was playing like piped music then every few minutes (I heard it 3 times) a voice would come on talking about being a parent and advising shoppers to trust SMA as sound nutrtion for babies - or something like that. I did find it a bit OTT.

Is this sort of advertising for baby milk legal does anyone know?

DOn't think so.

We need Hunker..

Can you remember the exact wording?

If I was you, I'd email Tesco and ask them to clarify what it was you heard. They're fuckers for breaking the Code on this sort of thing

Let us know what they say - I'll keep an ear out for it when I'm next in a Tesco too.

In Tesco toiletries aisle yestersay they were playing that SMA ad, the one where the dad is pledging to do his bit, be supportive etc (Didn't see it, but heard it).

Is it that one?

Try emailing mikebrady at babymilkaction dot org too, to see what he thinks.

Yes that was the one where the Dad pledges to get up at night and change nappies etc and then something about SMA nutrition ... I can't remember the exact wording I'm afraid. It was just really wierd and kept playing like it was on repeat but only the sound like a radio no pictures or anything - maybe its some form of brainwashing?

Maybe.... very 1984!

I think it's probably an ad for follow-on milk, not first milk formula which is not illegal. We got our loyalty vouchers this morning from Tescos and they're offering 100 bonus points if you buy SMA follow-on.

They certainly seem to be pushing the rules to their limits imo. I too am not anti-ff but this sort of thing makes me .

Read this

So, there has been no ruling on this ad as yet?
Personally, I object to it cos it makes me barf.
