Anyone know if it is safe to take folic acid when BF?Want to take it in case I get pregnant in the future (thinking of trying in 3-4 months) but just read on the label that it shouldn't be taken if you are BF (then again it also says not to take it if you think you might be pregnant!)Anyone know if is OK to take supplemnts when BF?

Er.......can't imagine why the label would say that. Folic acid is a food supplement; what do they think would happen if a bf woman took it???

I imagine then that it is superdrug trying to cover their backs? It is labled as a prenatal supplement so it doesn't make sense.

It is also on all their supplements which contain vitamin A which I understand if you are pregnant because of the miscarriage risk linked to it but surely vitamin A is not a risk to breast fed babies....?
