DD is six months this week and within about the last week she has suddenly gone from pooping at least once a day to maybe every 2-3 days and instead is doing A LOT of smelly farts. We haven't started weaning yet so that can't be the cause. So I'm wondering if it's normal for things to change like this at this stage, or whether she could suddenly have developed an intolerance that she didn't previously have, or if it could be down to a change in my diet (the only thing I can think of is an increase in caffeine consumption as I've got in the habit of rewarding myself for the neverending walks with lots of coffees).

I understand that you have to give stuff up for a while for it to make a difference, so before I start messing with my diet I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced similar / what you think the cause could be.

NB. It doesn't obviously cause her discomfort but we are deep into a never-ending sleep regression so I am keen to reduce any and all possible sources of discomfort/anything that could be waking her up at night...

It could be the diet. I swapped to decaf when I was desperate with DS' lack of sleep and suddenly his sleep got better. It could have been a coincidence but I didn't dare go back to caffeine just in case Smile
