I know that hundreds of women do it every day and in the grand scheme of things describing it as an achievement may be a bit of a stretch but I am celebrating nonetheless.

26 weeks of exclusive breastfeeding in the face of 2 hourly feeds day and night (she never managed to go longer than that), many rounds of 'when are you going to feed that baby?' and the odd well-meaning family member trying to sneak her some food.

It has been the most exhausting, exhilarating, tedious, interesting and fulfilling experience and I wouldn't change it. Even when I offered shares in my soul on here to anybody who could help and despite the odd 3am tirade.

And to all those people who thought she'd waste away by 5 months, I give you my 23lb baby!

Bring on the BLW...

Huzzah ! Whipped cream with your gingerbread ?
All those feeds have done a good job ! Even DS who is considered to be a big boy wasn't 23lbs at 26 weeks.
