ive just started giving her one bottle at night
and ive now managed to build up good bm stash so i thought id give her the expressed rather than the formula

and she grabbed the bottle as i was giving it to her and i took my hand away and she was feeding herself!

My dd also did this from a similar age. She even used to offer me some!

Be careful though because they don't hold the bottle high enough and the milk can dribble down the neck. I used to hold the end of the bottle up.

bloody hell it really shocked me !

dd is a bit of a thumb sucker, so we have been putting mittens on her all this time

is this really bad of me

didnt even realise she could hold things! am i slowing her development by putting mitt on her all the time ?

my dd was similar age when she did it too!
she was also a thun=mb sucker and i hadnt thought of mittens and gave her i dummy instead not a smart move now she depends on it too much

robin - My ds was endlessly fascinated with his fingers and hands at around that age. Your dd would likely get a lot out of exploring with her hands and fingers, both for development and entertainment's sake, and in fact it's probably important that she gets the opportunity to do so. I'd say it's time to take the mittens off.
