DS is teething big time - he's off his food hence starving. Feeding hurts him and hurts me as he chomps down on my nipple to get some relief and pinches and scratches. We're both in tears. I've Mediseded and Anbesoled him. I really don't want to have to get a bottle out (formula I mean, I've not hit the vodka yet!)

It'll be fine.

Does he have a teething ring thingy? One of the chillable ones can be good.

hi it does get better, if he bites you take him completely off the breast say no and that is the end of the feed, they soon learn.

On the teething front, I found Ashton and Parsons teething powders really good to rub on the gums when they are really bad either that a spoonful of Calpol.

Hi supermonkey, It will improve. Dd took about a week to change feeding position once her teeth had come through.

{{hug}}

It does get better, honestley.

Agree with Kitty, if he bites, stop the feed

You will become immune to the biting and find you'll end up with nipples you can put bulldog clips on

Well done for persevering with the bfing

Aww thanks everyone for the encouragement. I've just done what you said - he had a good feed then started to clamp down with his teeth, I gave him a firm 'no' then stopped the feed.
