I want to find out if anyone has given porridge/cereal in milk b4 bedtime to help bb to sleep through the night.

Can anything else help?

My mother had suggested this but I'm worried about bb pooing through the nite and of his teeth. My bb is 12mnths and need him to sleep through the nite as i'm going back to work but I don't want to give up bf'ing.

He bf at wake of day then bottles the next 2 feeds during the day and b4 bed he has bottle then breast as he doesn't fall asleep otherwise.(same with naptime). He doesn't have too much solids as he has teething bouts, that or he's getting picky very quickly.

DOn't put the solids mix in the bottle. That's something everyone will advise you against, you'll either wreck the teat or choke the baby. Give some porridge or yoghurt or something with a spoon about an hour before bedtime to allow time for digesting.

ok madamez has said it!

yogurt, porridge, rusks or whatever before but not in the milk.

I'm totally for the idea of filling them up so that they sleep thru, i b/fed all my three past a year but did make sure that it was just used as a drink at this age IYSWIM. after they stopped b/f they had baby-version of horlicks or hot chocolate (weak) to help fill them up.

when you work as well it's survival tactics, isn't it?!
