Extra Breastmilk - how can I give it away for a good cause?

Hello all,

I am pumping now that I am back at work and I am getting about 2oz (approx. 50mls) more than I need every single day, which is adding up fast. I am running out of storage vessels and DH and I will never have enough date nights to keep up with this.

Can someone recommend a good place/person to donate this to in/around central/East London?

Thanks in advance.

Have you contacted your HV? Or your local maternity ward? They can probably direct you.

all is know is that southampton hospital uses surplus milk for babies. So there must be a maternity unit in the London area that could use it.

You could freeze it. My friend had 2 freezer drawers of the stuff. I was so impressed.

If you look here you will be able to find info about your local milk bank and some info about donating milk.
