Hi there

I am back at work 3 days a week. Cannot express enough milk for my VERY hungry ds and so need to give one bottle of formula at 2.30. BUT he has shown allergic reactions to HIP organic and now to SMA. And today has been vomiting forcefully after breastmilk and one SMA formula feed. Have contacted NHS direct and am giving coool boiled water little and often

I have also been giving him tiny bits of baby rice and pureed pear but on and off as not convinced he's ready however when I don;t give him this he wakes up every 2 hours. So want to put off giving him anymore and see how he gets on with mixed feeding. BUT worried about giving him it.

This is a crazed rambling rant. I hope some of you wise ladies out ther can help me.

xx

Hello - I guess it may be worth trying other milks ?? I've mixed fed my ds since he was 3 mo, he's now nearly 6 mo - he has had no reaction at all to cow and gate milk, the first one.
About the waking - he is on solids now, have started blw with great success - and he still wakes every 2 hours for breast feeds !
So I know how you feel.
Good luck with formula milk.

Have you tried wysoy -soya formula? they sell it in supermarkets. If DS is allergic you can get it on prescription.

It sounds as if your ds could be allergic/intolerant to milk. My DD had the same, see your doc and get him to prescribe Neocate and ask to have your ds allergy tested at the hospital.

I found out that my dd was allergic when i returned to work and experienced the same problems,DD's reaction was quite scary so presented at A&E so Dr took us seriously.

Hope that helps?
