I am exclusively BF my huge 4 month old and have noticed that when I feed him, I can physically feel the energy draining from my body! Has anyone else noticed this?

Yep. You need more food and water. Like an insane amount.

Yeah more water! Not juice or fizzy etc, just water. Like an oceans worth! Also something that helped me so much was meal replacement shakes, not instead of a meal, as well as, like just a drink..
Its so draining but well done for sticking with it, I've wanted to stop so many times!!

Milk glands are like specialised sweat glands and you are losing fluids when you feed so keep a bottle with you.

Yes. I have always been fairly ‘petite’. Ds was born 8 months ago at nearly 9lbs and has been growing ever since.

It’s the lack of sleep combined with constant feeding I think.

I gained 20kg when pregnant. Have lost 25kg since he was born and now bmi is low. It’s hard when your tired to cook.

If it’s any help, from 6 months they start eating. Now at 8 months, he doesn’t eat as much daytime, so I’m starting to not feel so drained. So it shouldn’t last much longer

Drink lots of water, eat a biscuit just before feeding and keep taking a multi vitamin
