gave 4 month old dd her 1st bottle of formula last night, can i carry on bf in the day and give one bottle at night till 6 months

or will i have to wean her early? is it only ex bf babys that can wait till 6 months ?

No diference in ff & bf in terms of weaning. Anyway, your dd is still a bf baby. One bottle of formula doesn't change that.

should have no effect on weaning
guidelines are 6m for everyone
be prepared for her to want more milk at the classic '4mo growth spurt' though - your supply will increase naturally to match demand but the formula bottle won't.

I mix fed my baby and didnt wean until 6 months. In fact an ex BF was weaned earlier than my mixed one. (does that make sense?!)

I've given DS one bottle of formula at bedtime since 4mths, otherwise BF - still going at 7mths
