We are about to start using gripe water but the bottle only says give 5mls per feed either during or after, i have read on anther thread (cant find it now of course)that it should be mixed with the feed, is this true???

how old is the baby???? it's not usually advised to give grip water until a certain age.have you tried infacol or dentinox??????

He is 5 weeks old,the infacol just made him vomit even more. Whats dentinox??

dentinox is another thing that treats wind associated with colic - it can be added to the milk. According to the dentinox website you can get them from Boots, Superdrug, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Lloyds

We used it for a bit, put it in DS's feed. It made him worse though - some things work for some and not for others. Infacol was better for him.

Thankyou! have you used gripe water. It seems from the bottle that you just give it him staight, i would assume that if it needed to be mixed it would say so

sorry kelmcd I meant we used gripe water, not dentinox, realised after I posted that that may not be clear!

We started giving it to DS after his feed initially but that was a bit horrendous so I did a search, I think on here, maybe another website, and people said about putting in the feed so we did that.

He took it better but it didn't work anyway!

It smells pretty fowl, cant imagine it would taste very nice! GUess we will just have to give it a go and see, time will tell!
Any other wind busting ideas would be appreciated.
Poor sausage has given himself a hoarse voice from his crying last night, 2hrs solid, must have been horrible for him
