she's not teething or unwell, ate her usual amount of solids and drank usual amount of water.

She is normally ff (4 x 5oz) during the day and I still bf twice at night. Fortunately she has still taken her night feeds but even when i offered bf during the day yesterday, she was just not interested.

I'm quite concerned as, although she's not especially underweight, she is quite dinky and I don't want her losing weight!

Anyone else had this or know why it could be?

do you offer her milk before her breakfast?

Milk at this age is more of a priority then solids. It's good that she is stil bfing at night, that milk is very important.

Hi belgo, yes she bf at 5/6am, then breakfast at 7/7.30am.

She would normally then have a feed at 10.30am. Do you think that if she doesn't take her milk this morning I should offer her a feed instead of solids at lunchtime?

does she have cereals with milk for breakfast?

massivebigpumpkinface · 08/10/2007 07:44

yes, weetabix or porridge with goats milk...

I could use formula instead i suppose...?

maybe that's a way of getting more formula into her.

Why do you use goat's milk?

massivebigpumpkinface · 08/10/2007 08:10

dd has eczema and there are more links to cows milk and eczema than goats milk. it has cleared up completely, in fact! plus it is sweet and yummy!

I'll try formula in her brekkie tomorrow if we have another bad day.

thanks for your help belgo. no doubt i will yell again if things don't improve...

lol
If she's bfing twice in the night, and has formula with her cereal, then that's something.

massivebigpumpkinface · 08/10/2007 19:50

success today! She has guzzled every bottle!

thanks for your help belgo
