"Just look at him. He's happy, healthy and alert, you're still bfing on demand, he's absolutely fine".

Oh look... here's a hen... what's that in its mouth... teeth!

Bloody H**l!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad you seem to have such a great HV - why not write to them and tell them how great she is - they have so many complaints a good news one would be wonderful!

Oh and I am sure she is right BTW! Keep up the good work!

Theclosetpagan · 05/10/2007 20:18

Thank goodness Mossy. A decent HV - good to hear.

Jacanne · 05/10/2007 20:19

I'm feeling faint!

edam · 05/10/2007 20:19

Wow!

Agree with callme, obv. good work on your part.

Mossy · 05/10/2007 20:20

Callmeovercautious actually that's a good idea, I might just do that!!!

Yes, he is fine, I think he is just so active that as soon as he feeds he burns all the calories off!! Plus dh is only 5'8"!

i think she must be a clone of my HV

now you must keep her captive , and only let her use her powers for good!

I want your HV!! Mine flapped her wings and insisted that we be referred to the paediatrician - cue blood tests, meetings with a dietician, weight/heights charts and FINALLY a lovely consultant who looked at me (7.5 stone, 5'1") and said "and why am I seeing this child"?

ScottishMummy · 05/10/2007 20:21

nice story. you are so fortunate to have supportive grounded HV

TheDuchessOfCorpseBride · 05/10/2007 20:25

Did you kiss her?

Mossy · 05/10/2007 20:56

I could have kissed her, really, I hadn't been to have ds weighed for a few weeks, stuck him on the scales and he'd hardly put anything on, handed her the red book and she plotted his weight in... my heart sank, not so much because I was worried about him, I know he's fine (used to worry a lot in the early days though!) but worried about what she'd say...

... and then that! I was so made up!!

At last!
A non half wit HV!
Mine were ace too.
Never did the book unless you asked specifically.

Mossy · 05/10/2007 21:01

I don't know if it's really rare, or just that we hear so many awful stories about crappy HVs and the good ones just go un-noticed... but it does seem rare doesn't it?

I had a very similar experience!
