HELP - URGENT but probably stupid question re expressed milk...

Am about to go and have scan with contrast dye. Have been expressing milk for a few weeks to cover DD afterwards. This will be my first time going out and about with expressed milk in bottle. I have lots of defrosted pots with a couple of ounces each. Presumably no reason why can't tip into one bottle - will keep separate from feeding bottle??? Sorry prob stupid question - newbie nerves!

I think you should be fine, I know you can add new milk to old milk when not freezing. so if you express more than once a day you can store it all in the one container, but its considered as old as the first batch if that makes any sense. so once it is defrosted and stored properly I think you should be fine. Just wanted to keep you message up there as i am sure someone with greater knowledge will be along soon

Er......novice, I don't understand why you think there might be a problem, and racking my brains as to why there could be something wrong with mixing the samples!

The only prob I can see is that if you put the whole lot in together, and the baby only has an ounce or two, - but you are keeping it all separate from the bottle you're using for feeding, so no problem there.

TY - I think prob projrcting all sorts of nerves abt scan and relying on bottle for dd for first time. will just go and get on with it
