NO NO's whilst BFing.........food and drinks

My ds is 18 days old and is being BF with one bottle at night, last couple of evenings he has pretty much cried non stop, not sure if its wind, pain or quite what is wrong. He does evetually settle but only for an hour or so. Are there any definate no no's when it comes to eating and drinking whilst BFing. I am avoiding the spicy, garlicy stuff but not sure what else?
Thankyou

Oh fab an excuse to avoid eating my greens

Some people try cutting out dairy. Have you tried the usual remedies such as colief, infacol etc?

I didn't make any adjustments to my normal spice-freak diet and was probably just lucky to avoid the colic phase when I had to up my intake of green leafy stuff to help with anameia.

But, every babe is different. Try keeping a food diary and log when ds seems more upset as that could be related to what you ate in the previous hours

mine didn't like it when i ate onions but everything else was fine

he also screamed for the third week of his life and i don't think it was anything to do with what i ate - more like shock at realising he'd been born.
