Can I have ‘a night off’ without affecting milk supply

I’m 6 weeks into the 4mth sleep regression and have had 2.5 weeks of hourly wakings. I really can’t cope anymore but as I’m EBF my husband hasn’t been able to help much.

Is it possible for me to sleep in a different room and not breastfeed or express from say 10-4am so I get a long stretch of sleep (with my husband giving our baby expressed bottles) ..or will this totally mess my supply up? I was hoping one night wouldn’t hurt too much?

I should add, prior to the 4 mth regression she has slept for 7 and 8 hour stretches so I’ve been able to go this long without too much discomfort from engorgement but just so worried about messing my supply up..found breastfeeding very hard in the early days so don’t want to have to give it up but feel like I’ll need to if the hourly wakings carry on much longer as really struggling

I did this at 4 months for 3 nights and it was fine. Felt a bit full but it was worth it and had no issues carrying on after. My daughter actually slept better after we did it as she stopped expecting the breastfeeds at wakes.
