i had one after dd1 self weaned.. and i still had it when dd2 was born aprrox 6 months later! It was not paiful at all and i went to the dr who said just to leave it. When i started bfing again it disappeared.

I had that when feeding ds1; I think it was a blocked duct thingy. Had the pain when feeding too. It did go eventually after I massaged my breast under water in the bath (I found that easier to do than doing it under the shower). The white blister (exactly as in the photo) remained though and I did pick at it in the end and it went, but not sure if that's what I should have done or not!!

I get these now and again and they often coincide with painful lumpy boobs cos the milk is getting backed up behind the blocked duct. I try massage in the bath but if that doesn't work then I'm afraid I do break the skin. I would hesitate to recommend to others as obviously there is a poss of infection with broken skin but, for me, it is the only thing that relieves the engorgement - and the affected duct goes off like a fountain when it is finally unclogged!

this happened to me last monday and by the evening i'd developed mastitis so get it checked out asap i felt like i'd been kicked in the boob by a donkey!! i did bath and massage( 3 times a day was recommended)and i did as many extra feeds as i could manage and expressed at the end of every feed and the blockage cleared itself but am just finishing antibiotics now but no pain!! hope this helps
