My HV today recommended supplementing with Dalivit multivitamin drops.3mls per day as dd is exclusively bf - just started introducing solids. States that if dd was FF there would be no need as they are in the Formula!

I found this thread Is this still the case??

Should i supplement or not? I have a Very healthy diet and we are out and about EVERY day.

I was on that thread

I think I gave ds one bottle of the Abidec drops and then kind of forgot after that! Did the same with dd. But in hindsight their diets are good and they do get out and about every day, so probably unnecessary.

Now ds is 5 (eek - he was 14 months on that thread!!!) and I'm giving him fish oils, but that's a completely different thing altogether.

I say not. not unless she's showing any symptoms anyway.

NOT!!!!!!!

you've plenty iron in your breastmilk. As long as a bit of her body is exposed to daylight (bright sunlight is not necessary) for 15mins/day then she'll be getting plenty VitD.
