Breastfed 10 month old - low milk

Hello, I'm worried about my milk supply for my 10 month old and whether I can do anything to up it at this stage? He is dairy intolerant and won't take a bottle so my boobs are important.

I'm just knackered looking after a baby and 3 year old with no help or nursery etc and by the end of the day my boobs feel empty. So I have been giving him a large dinner in the hope that that helps. But I know they need 500ml of milk at this age and I'm worried he's not getting it. I put oat milk in his porridge mixed with Aptamil Pepti but that's the only extra bit he's getting as he won't take a bottle. He doesn't like the taste of the Aptamil in its own.

Should I worry?

thanks

Why are you worried about your supply?

If you are BFing, it's not important he gets 500 ml at all. I'm not even sure how you would measure it (unless your boobs are see through) Smile

Could it be the advice of 500 ml is aimed at ffers and not BFers?

As long as he's growing, you are letting him BF when he wants and for as long as he wants and he's meeting his milestones, there shouldn't be a concern about the quantity Smile

500ml advice is aimed at formula feeders. If you breastfeed you just go by feeds.

Is he fussing at the breast, or seeing less? Your breasts being soft is no reason to think your supply has reduced.

Weeing less, that should say.
