I recently cut down my dds feeds to 2,one morning and 1 before bedtime, but various friends who are ff tell me she should still be getting 3-4 feeds as i cant be giving her enough. She has a balanced diet and eats anything and drinks water from a cup the rest of the time.
I have never managed to bf before(last 2 dds got formula) so now im in a panic that she is not getting enough milk, what shall i do?

She's fine. Your ff friends don't know how much in quantity your dd is taking, so how can they comment? At 11 mos babies can be very efficient at taking what they need from the breast.

My dd2 bf till 12 mos and was feeding as yours for the month or so before. When she gave up bf she never really took to cow's milk at all, and still only has enough to wet her weetabix (although has plenty of dairy in other forms). At 11 she is now tall, healthy and has a mouth full of perfect teeth. What more can you ask?

Ditto Elasticwoman - I fed my DS morning and night from about 10 months and he's now down to just morning feeds (he's 14 months old). Boobies and baby adapt accordingly - don't worry (though I had similar worries at the time I remember!). Well done for bfing this far!
