anti depressants and bfing

hi i wonder if anyone can help me i am feeling reall really bad and on the advice of my health visitor went to see my gp and told him how i felt and the decision to subscribe me a tablet to help[cipramil] but the advice is conflicting, has anyone taken any form of anti depressants whilst bfing and what were/are the effects on your baby? thankyou.

I breastfed and was on Citalopram (think that may be cipramil?) GP said it was the only safe one. It had no effect on DS. THe benefits outweighed any negatives (not that there was any). x
