How to stop breastfeeding 14 month old

Just what the title says, really... My little boy is 14 months old, still having one breastfeed at bedtime but I would really like to drop that and give him milk from a cup.

When he's being put in his pyjamas and Grobag, he starts to cry for the boob until he gets it. Unfortunately he never took a bottle when he was younger so can't give him that.

He drinks from a cup in the day, I have tried giving him milk in a cup before breast but he cries and pushes it away, although he will drink it after his breastfeed.

I tried giving him just one breast, to wean him slowly, but he cried for half an hour until I gave him the other one.

Any suggestions? I would love to give him bedtime milk from a cup but he just loves boob and sobs if he doesn't have it at bedtime.

If he's not going for the sippy cup, you may just need to be firm about it.

"There isn't any more milk, because that's for babies and you're so big now" then cuddles, story, cup etc... it will be really tough and really loud, but if you don't give in, he'll get there in the end.

Wear something with a high neck, get someone else to do bedtime (if you can) and be brave - this is going to suck, but you can manage, and then it will be over and you can have your boobs back!

It's difficult because my usual advice is to go out and let somebody else put him to bed for a few nights.
