Can a medela swing breast pump be steam sterilised????

Hi I know this sounds really really really stupid but the instructions just talk of boil sterilising, didn't know whether it would cope with any higher tempretures (i know it's only slightly but not desperately brave in my sleep deprived state), having just spent loadsa money on it don't want to wreck it before first use but likewise would like the easy option of whacking it in my steam steriliser.

Has anyone got on and done this

Doris, have never had one but I'm pretty sure it can. I think what you can't do is put it in a microwave steriliser.

Yes i would think so.. I have the Pump in Style which is the double version of the swing and i steam steralise that.

Thanks think I going to be brave now and give it a try( it was dh husband who was more cautious and he's at work now )
