Has anyone had an itchy white spot on their nipple

I have recently stopped breast feeding and now I have an itchy white spot on my nipple which is really irritating, does anyone know what this is?

I've thought of that, but there doesn't appear to be any other symptoms consistant with thrush. I guess a trip to the Dr's is in order!

ely, I've been having something similar since stopping feeding - really painful nipples, and a couple of little white spots, but then would leak a little milk, and they would go away. I think it might be milk backing up!

It's probably 'white spot' - duh! Call any of the breastfeeding helplines and they'll talk about it with you. The doctor won't have a clue (I bet). Unlikely to be thrush.

tiktok - could I ask why it is unlikely to be thrush? Not disagreeing, just wondering!
