Breastfeeders- did you have 1 good boob and one that wasn’t so good?

For both my DD’s my right boob was way way better at producing milk. Therefore they liked it the most! When I expressed, I’d really struggle to get much out of the left.

I am pregnant with third and started getting tiny leaks of milk, when I have a bath and wash etc... it’s from my right and my left has produced nothing.

Anyone else had one better milk producing boob than the other? Or is it just me.

Same here too. I've managed to keep producing on both but the left is the favoured one.

My DS always prefered one to the other and seemed to stay on it for longer...

Yes mine was the left one! Could consistently express more too from it.

I ended up only feeding from one boob for both children, neither ever latched properly on my left side despite numerous attempts, different holds etc. My right side always seemed to have more milk.

I feed exclusively on my right breast. Baby couldn't ever latch on my left one. It's made for quite wonky/lopsided boobies. I'm really hoping once baby is finished with my one boob that it will settle back to somewhere near the same size as the other!

It definitely felt more natural on the right side. I guess I’m in for that again then!

Yes, one that the DC always wanted and the other that seemed not to be the favourite. Life I suppose ? (Not meant to be flippant)

Mine had a favourite too. I always used to try and start on the least favoured side. Mine used to feed to sleep and I think it was to do with preferring the side where I could place them in the cot without having to flip them round IYSWIM.

Left boob is the baby bear's porridge: just right. Right boob is the Niagara Falls of boobs and just leaks and pours CONSTANTLY, squirts like a clown, has to have half a dozen breast pads near it at all times. It's the number one thing I'm looking forward to being over when I stop BFing, more than nipple biting and night feeds.

It was the right one for me.

I can confirm that after stopping breastfeeding they eventually evened out again.

Yes, left one just leaked loads but didn't provide much milk. Once I gave up on it, feeding was so much easier! Dc2 managed with just my right breast from 4 weeks to over 2 years.

I feed almost exclusively from the left boob, we call it Superboob. I always feed lying down and he seems incapable of lying on his side to feed from the right without rolling around like a twit. Left boob he is sensible for. No idea why!

Yes leftie here. Might as well have had a mono boob; I tried constantly to involve the right one but it refused to join in despite much coaxing and encouragement!

My right is the best and also noticeably bigger that the left. I'm hoping they'll even out when I stop feeding!

I’ve retired the right. This is because I can do important tasks (eg drink coffee/wine) more easily with one hand whilst my right arm side is unencumbered. DC seems to be fine with this arrangement and seems happier being held on this side too!

Right one bigger, produces more milk than the left, but baby used to always fall asleep on the left one. Probably more relaxing for him

Left was DS’ favourite. He’d tolerate right but not for long. I was lopsided while feeding but they went back to normal.

Left Boob -> favourite boob BUT poor producer
Right boob -> LOADSA MILK

My left boob is or was basically the fountain of milk and they'd almost drown in the stuff (I'd have to hold it to stop then choking on the stuff. I even managed to hit my STBEH in the face from about 5 metres once, accidentally!

My right boob was preferred. Y all of mine as the more genteel boob!
