She is 3.3. DD2 is one. I have been tandem feeding for a year. DD1 feeds first thing in the morning and occasionally i.e less than once a week at other random occasions, v,v tired hurt etc.

Originally i thought i would feed until 1, then 2, then 3 and I am feeling increasingly as if it will never never stop. She would feed more if I let her but don't want to start feeding as and when iyswim.

Maybe I am just wobbling because she is over 3. She has gone the odd two or three days without a feed due to distraction as well so I don't know whether to put the effort in and wean her or let her self wean. I suspect that I don't actually believe she will.

arrrgh.

Help

It's rare for them to be still nursing while at Uni

Ha and you were recommending tandem feeding to me

I'm sure she will wean eventually - have you tried getting pregnant so your milk tastes weird?

i tandem fed ds2 and ds3, i am still feeding ds3 and am now preg with baby 4

ds2 was 2yrs 5ths when ds3 was born and i tandem fed for well over a year, gradually cutting down his feeds, so it was just once in the morning, he eventually stopped of his own accord at a bit over three and a half ish, he just had a feed one morning, didnt the next, then did etc for a few days, had a feed one day and said "thats me finished with milkies mummy" it does happen and it sounds like she is on her way there

Not recommending - just offering data to make an informed choice
lol at getting pregnant.

3madboys - thank you so much. I think i just need a wee bit of reassurance that it will happen iyswim.
