I am going back to work 3 days a week in september. DD will be nearly 7 months old. I went back before the hols and expressed for her then but I don't want to express anymore and I am happy for her to have formula at the childminders. She is eating some food too

Should I give her formula at home instead of feeding her on the two days I am at home? Or will my body just 'get it' that days are different.

I may well end up expressing when I get home as I have no idea if I am going to get engorged or not.I don't really leak or get engorged now if I miss a feed. This expressed milk can go in the freezer for DH to give if I am out of an evening.

I would really like to continue feeding evenings and mornig and at the moment I am doing a night feed too.

I would welcome any advice.

your milk and breasts will adjust to the changes - it wouldn't be a problem at all. I have done this when I've gone back to work - I bfed when at home, and when working the girls had formula. It was fine for me

with ds i worked 5 days with expressing mornings and evening, and 2 days bf whenever ds wanted. never seemed to be a problem (well if i was working late in the evenings i was nearly bursting but no, no real problem)

I did the same as you. I expressed for a while but eventually I adjusted. I still BF morning and evening and during the day on non-work days. When at work LO had either expressed milk or formula and eventually didn't have to express at all.
