Sorry for boring query, I have had a look a don't see a thread for it.

So it's my birthday tomorrow and i want to have a few drinks. I have expressed a couple of bottles for the night feed ( ds goes down at 8ish and usually wakes up at 2amish to feed).

Question: If I give ds expressed milk at 2am then should I feed him as normal at 7-8am or should I express at 2am and throw this milk away?

Will probably drink about 5-6 glasses, will try to drink less but have low will power.

Once you are sober the alcohol will be out of your milk, same as your bloodstream.

I have a few glasses of wine now and then but my DD is 11m now, didn't drink when she was very small, think I started again when she was about 4m.

have a drink - it'll be okay!

(personally I wouldn't even bother with the expressed at 2am - I would just stop drinking about 11pm so body had time to clear most of alcohol by 2am)

thanks!

Ok so will stop at 10-11 ish. If I don't feed ds at 2am then does that mean all the booze will have left my system by the morning?

Not quite sure how it all works!

thanks tiktok, I had a search over a longer period of time and found lots about it.

Will have a few drinks with a clear conscience, I didn't realise alcohol left the breastmilk, I thought once it was there it stayed.
