2YO hardly eats

Can anyone offer some help please?!

My 2YO is incredibly difficult to get to eat. I've tried various strategies and followed several methods to get some food into her.

Today she has eaten approx:
2 teaspoons of cereal
A quarter slice of toast
Half a rich tea
A quarter ham sandwich
Half a banana
4 pieces of pasta with vegetable purée
Fruit roll up
One teaspoon mash
12oz whole milk

Today is slightly worse as she's feeling under the weather for some reason, normally she'd eat a portion of mixed fruit the size of my fist also and more like 10 pieces of pasta. She gets vitamins and sambucol.

I've tried:
Offer lots of snacks
Offer no snacks
Offer one main meal
Offer up to three main meals
Offer what I'm having
Offer alternative to what I'm having
Games like car noise into mouth/feed mummy then her/different forks etc
I've tried to always have something she will definitely eat but this is impossible as she just won't consistently eat anything really.

Do I just need to seek help from HV?? She's had her two year check and 25th percentile for weight and 75th for height. She doesn't look ill but things seem to be getting worse not better 😔 is there anything else anyone can advise please? It's so disheartening to have so much of the food i offer being wasted.

No advice really but you're not alone! My daughters two in Feb and doesn't eat hardly. I'll give her cereal or toast in the morning and she will have two mouthfuls and that's it. Dinner is never touched really. She would live off of milk if I let her. Very frustrating

Me too. My 22 month old eats far less than you've listed! But she does breastfeed a lot still. She'll eat eventually, as frustrating as it is now!

My Child Won't Eat by Carlos Gonzales is excellent

Thanks all, solidarity does make things seem a bit better as awful as it is to be going through. I will have a look at that book suggestion thank you 😊
