Any mumsnetters (either scottish based, or regular/potential visitors)who wish write to support this proposed legislation should send their thoughts to the MSP supporting the bill -

We can even hope that the Westminster parliament catches on too

excellent, well done!

Great Eulalia! Well done, I loved the letter!

thumper · 31/08/2002 22:11

Well done, Eulalia. I know how hard it is to get letters published in the Times, having worked for somebody for years who used to write to the Times frequently and hardly ever got his published. When I read it on here I thought it was great and they must have thought it was a very important contribution to the debate.

Eulalia - do you have a link for it - I've been scrabbling round and cant find it, dunno why?

Tissy · 01/09/2002 09:17

I can't do links but go to www.the-times.co.uk, register (you don't have to pay) and look in the "Newspaper" pages for Friday under "debates" (I think). The letter was heavily edited, but there in essence. Well done Eulalia!

Eulalia · 01/09/2002 09:33

Shucks, thanks folks. I think they only keep the online articles for a week - after that you have to pay for it. I didn't ever bother to look for it as I don't buy the Times. My mum spotted it and was reading it thinking that I would enjoy and agree with what was expressed and to her shock there was my name. She has written in a few times and not had anything published. This was my first time and I manage straight away

Just been for a look too Eulalia, great stuff, good for you. I couldn't believe the last letter on the page, obviously written by someone with no children, she suggested that a breastfeeding mother should express milk if she wishes to take her baby to a restaurant.

People are odd, aren't they?

SueDonim · 02/09/2002 17:26

Oh, poo! I can't read Eulalia's letter because The Times site won't give me access without paying 39.99gbp, due to my not being in the UK. Anyone care to do a bit of cutting-and-pasting??

Fabulous Eulalia. I've been offline for a while so missed all this, but your letter is fantastic. Well done.
