when did your breastfed baby stop night feeding altogether?

thought we could compare notes .
My 6 month old feeds between 1 and 3 times a night.
Just wanted to know if there was light at the end of the tunnel for me. as i am starting to hallucinate from the tiredness (I have a rowdy 2y.o )

DS will be 2 in september. I'll let you know when he stops nursing at night!...

DS2 is 2.6 and fed about five times last night, 'cos he has a cold and keeps snorting himself awake. Sorry not to hold out much hope for you, rainbow! Are you co-sleeping?

on the plus side though in the last week he's started sleeping until 3:30 or so! woo hooo!

Between 7pm & 6/7am?????

dd2 - 4 months (she only ever woke once and it took me a while to realise it was a quick comfort thing rather than a proper feed.

dd3 - 2 weeks - she woke after that for one feed per night very occasionally - once every 2/3 weeks probably until around 4 months old.

dd4 - 4 days - woke up on a couple of occasions within the first month.

Have no idea why but they were big at birth and I had loads of milk - engorged really badly and they didn't sleep in our room - every snuffle & grunt and I woke up with milk pouring out whilst they slept on so they were on their own after the first couple of days.

DS is 3 & hasn't stopped completely....he has mostly slept through since he was 8 weeks...but there was about one night in 7/14 days when he did wake & of course during all the teething months & the growth spurts he usually woke at least once....in fact he had a growth spurt month before last & woke every night for a feed, but stopped just as quickly as he had started.....Don't be too worried though it does get easier as they get older! Generally if DS wakes in the middle of the night we don't have to get up & go to him - he just gets into bed with us & cuddles up - most of the time we don't even notice until we wake up in the morning to find him there!

Are you co-sleeping rainbow or feeding lying down? Its makes night waking soooo much easier to cope with.
