Do you reckon it's worth switching to SMA White...............

or should we stick with the gold for DS3 (9 weeks today).

I've been thinking about it for a week or so as he drinks so much so often and when DS2 started getting like that we switched and it really settled him down.

I know he's probably going through a growth spurt at the moment but today he's had (and he drinks them pretty fast - 10-15 minutes maximum:

4oz at 9.30am
4 1/2oz at 12pm
2 1/2oz at 12.50

Then had 2 "feeds" and lots of sucking in his sleep (breast) between 1.30 and 4pm.

8oz at 5pm........

the rest TBC

I went on to white at about 7 or 8 weeks - although in the end I had to change formula because DS2 really didn't get on with SMA (yet DS1 thrived on it).

I think it's really up to you. Would you like the feeds to be more spaced out? IIRC White takes longer to digest.
That's what my HV said to me when I asked about Ds. I couldn't deal with feeds every 2 hours, I had so much going on in my life then.

I would rather like the feeds to be more spaced out (I think lol - it's indecisive me again who a few weeks ago said she was only going to bf early morning and bottlefeed the rest .

Sometimes on days when he's not taking such big amounts he'll have (roughly) 4oz every 2-3hrs......

I know that White is supposed to take longer to digest - DS2 positively thrived on the stuff - but I'm concerned (after a disatrous attempt at trying Aptimil the other week) that it's going to mess him up again.

well he's just had 1oz of FF at 7.15 - and then a 10 minute breastfeed at 7.50......he's currently asleep (not sure how long for as he'd fallen as asleep latched on and I "un"latched him to bring DS2 up to bed....).
