Bruised from breastfeeding

DS 15mo eats food but also wants to bf half a dozen times a day. Every time I pick him up he shoves his arm down the neck of my jumper and grabs my boob, he’s really insistent and claws at me so roughly that my chest is covered in bruises. When he feeds he doesn’t sit still, he stands up and twists and rolls and pulls. And if I say no more bf, you’ve had it now it’s time to go to sleep, he takes a tantrum and thrashes his legs and screams, and claws at my chest so hard he hurts me. Also he still wakes up during the night wanting to bf and I’ve started to say no, lie down - but he hasn’t stopped waking up and sometimes he screams so much that I have to let him feed.

I originally said I’d let him feed as long as he wants and self wean, but he’s hurting me. I’d like to continue feeding until he’s ready to stop because there are health benefits, but I’m covered in bruises.

This morning he pestered me from 5am, pulling my hair and forcing his fingers into my armpit and chest. I said no, get in bed and lie down. I’m covered in bruises. Help 😭

No suggestions but I totally feel your pain!! My LO is only 6 and a half months but when BF recently he has started kicking me and pinching me constantly to the point where I'm close to tears and although I wanted to BF until he's ideally 2 yrs old I've changed my mind and have started trying to give him formula. He hates formula so I'm stuck for now but that's a different issue..
And he still BF a lot, a lot more than he should according to silly idealistic nonsense guidelines..and wakes up to feed or for comfort too..whilst kicking me in my bits and pinching arms like crazy as we also co sleep. What a pickle Confused
