can anyone tell me if this is normal. She is demand fed. feeds usually once at night but only a bit. She feeds maybe 3-4 times during the day. thanx

As far as I know, yes it's normal.
Some of my BFing friends got their periods back within a few months, some didn't get them back until they stopped BFing, even if that was for more than a year.
Personally, my DD is 8 months old and I see no sign of my periods returning any time soon.
We'll probably both get them back when we finally stop feeing.

we are not ttc just thought it seemed a long time coming, not that i'm complaining. ould quite happily live without any more af's at all.

Mine stayed away for 18 blissful months....each time

mine stayed for until ds2 was 20 months......

just to add - still feeding when AF came back. Night feeding had stopped for 2 months (which I think is the key - but I am just guessing really )

Completely normal - return of AF is very variable among bf mums.
