hello

DS is now 5 months old and I am starting to switch from bf to bottle feeding. He is taking bottles no problem and have already dropped 2 feeds and will be dropping the rest in the next couple of weeks.

My question is when he's on formula are you supposed to also give water -of so how much and when? He's having the cartons of aptamil at the moment and I plan to start weaning him soon once he's fully ff.

can anyone explain?

My formula fed ds didnt get extra water until I started weaning him (around 23 weeks). He got a few sips from a lidded beaker along with his food. Unless your lo is constipated, it is very hot or you are giving solids then there is no need for extra fluids e.g. water/juice, etc
