This week 2-8 July is International Nestlé-Free Week!

Nestlé is the target of an international boycott because it contributes to the unnecessary death and suffering of infants around the world by aggressively marketing baby foods in breach of international marketing standards.

This week 2-8 July is International Nestlé-Free Week!

If you are new to the boycott or can't commit to giving up Nestlé products long term, then at least give them a miss this week.

If you doubt that Nestlé is doing anything wrong, see the recent independent investigations conducted by the Guardian www.guardian.co.uk/medicine/s...079757,00.html and UNICEF Philippines.

I've boycotted nestle for years, could I suggest that you repeat this post in another topic as well lots of things are nestle that you don't realise and people might take this as an anti ff thing.

l'oreal
lancome
bodyshop
Purina petfoods etc etc etc

i didn't realise about Alcon contact lens fluid! fortunately i wear daily disposables now, but still...they turn up in the funniest places don't they? (Nestle, not contact lenses, although they do too )

As for people thinking this is anti-formula, baby milk action say this:

"Baby Milk Action is not anti-baby milk. Our work protects all mothers and infants from irresponsible marketing."

Here is the link again of products that Nestle profit from, just in case anybody missed it:

bionicley, are you still bothering Netmums? Am thinking of giving it a rest myself but just can't seem to help myself

terramum · 06/07/2007 23:06

Netmums is a very strange place. They seem very scared of any site that has the merest hint of a discussion board despite their hugeness & ban any links to them....kellymom being one of them now . Strange how that happened straight after the nescafe deal
