Bottle a day routine

I'd like to introduce a bottle a day of expressed breast milk so, in future, I have option to be away from the baby if needs be.

Can anyone recommend a pumping/bottle routine to achieve this? Is there a time of day that's better to pump/give a bottle? I don't want to get over-supply.

Should I e.g. pump on opposite side during one of night feeds and then give that milk in a bottle later that day (is there a time better than another)?

Thank you.

Sorry I don’t have the answer but following as I’d love to understand this. I have oversupply already and am gradually getting it under control so am wary of pumping to stimulate it any more.

I always give bottle at 11pm - well dh does. I sleep! I express around 120ml in the morning. My boobs adjusted to not feeding 7pm-5/7 am. Make sure you only express what your dc drinks to avoid oversupply!
