Extended Breastfeeding-DS too busy to feed?

My DS is 12 months old and seems to be too busy to feed during the day. I intend to feed him as long as he wants to but am struggling with this because he's not feeding much in the day as hes too keen to be doing things, then when he does come for a feed there seems to be less milk so he gets frustrated (he is an impatient little man!). He feeds a lot at night which I can cope with, although I would be more than happy if he cut those feeds out!! If he gives up all his day feeds will my body still be able to produce enough to keep him satisfied at night? Also any ideas as to whether this is a passing phase, or how I can solve the problem?

When mine were that age it was usually twice a day: first thing in the morning and last thing at night. It is normal for them not to want to feed much during the day, so don't worry about the supply. It's mostly a comfort thing by now anyway. Comes in useful if they fall over! My ds gave up bf so gradually it was days or weeks between feeds at the end.
